Our Team
This is your team's biography. What makes us motivated, inspired, and whom we are. Furthermore, what are they like behind just helping in the community:

Daniel Kuhse
I was born in Colorado but have called Arizona home for more than 50 years. Having lived in Winslow, Flagstaff, Phoenix, and now the White Mountains, I proudly consider myself an Arizonan. I have always enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time in Arizona's mountains and forests.

My passion for helping others led me to earn an Associate and Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Phoenix, graduating with honors. Throughout my career, I have worked with Native American tribal communities, children, adults, and families facing behavioral health and life challenges.

In 2017, I founded White Mountain Coaching to provide practical support, education, and encouragement to individuals and families. My wife and I later relocated the business from the Phoenix area to Overgaard, where we enjoy the peaceful lifestyle and natural beauty of the White Mountains.

One of the most impactful experiences in our lives was adopting a brother and sister sibling group. That journey deepened our understanding of trauma, family dynamics, and resilience, inspiring our commitment to helping others navigate similar challenges.

Today, through White Mountain Coaching, I combine professional experience, education, and personal life experiences to help children, teens, adults, and families build hope, confidence, and positive change.

Mayra Kuhse
I moved from Mexico City to Arizona with my family at the age of 10 and have proudly called Arizona home for the past 39 years. My husband and I have been married for more than 31 years and now enjoy life together in Overgaard, Arizona. In my free time, I enjoy watching drama, mystery, and crime investigation shows, staying organized, and creating a welcoming home environment.

My professional career began in banking, where I spent 28 years building meaningful relationships with clients and helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals. Starting as a bank teller and advancing to Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, I learned the importance of customer service, financial responsibility, and community involvement. I especially enjoyed educating young adults about budgeting, savings, checking accounts, and financial planning as they prepared for independence.

Throughout my career, my goal was always to make people feel welcome and valued. I believe that strong relationships are built on trust, compassion, and genuine care for others.

Our experience raising adopted children with trauma backgrounds taught my husband and me valuable lessons about communication, patience, resilience, and personal growth. Today, I bring those life experiences to White Mountain Coaching, where I serve as Director of Administration and support our mission of helping children, adults, and families overcome challenges and build brighter futures.

I am passionate about helping others, giving back to the community, and making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
